From this year, the state-run University of Buenos Aires (UBA) will include a new subject for law students: Indigenous Law.

The course will tackle indigenous justice from a socio-political-economic perspective and identify related legal implications. Experts at the UBA said that traditional indigenous law merits efficacy analysis. Students will meet and discuss issues with native representatives, analyze case studies from Argentina and other countries and study provincial, national and international norms.
