We put at the disposal of our readers more than 4,000 articles, interviews, and statistical data.

In 1969, Latinamerica Press was launched as the English version of Noticias Aliadas that was created five years earlier under the auspices of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. Since then, Latinamerica Press has produced independent and reliable information and analysis on Latin America and the Caribbean with a focus on rights and has spread the information among individuals, groups, and entities that from their work they can contribute to the construction of more equitable and supportive societies.

We have fulfilled this commitment for five decades thanks to our network of correspondents in the region; however, we believe that the time has come to close a cycle. Comunicaciones Aliadas have taken the decision to suspend its activities, therefore, as of August 2019, we are no longer reporting any information.

It is of great importance for us to make our Online Information Archive, with information dating back to 2002, available to social organizations, activists, opinion leaders, researchers, students, academics and anyone else who wishes to access it. In order to access this information, please type the number 18100 in the User ID and Password fields in the banner on the right that reads Subscribers Section, and then press Enter.

At the bottom of the home page is the Special Editions / Report section, where you can access dozens of special reports, thematic dossiers, and infographics that may be of interest to you.

We endorse the relevance and importance of journalism and independent media that investigate and offer quality information with rights and intercultural approach. We humbly say: we value the grain of sand put in by Latinamerica Press, Comunicaciones Aliadas news service, in this important task. — Latinamerica Press
